Our clients had a rotting door frame and replaced their door. They weren't sure what direction to go in on the frame so we recommended using our 4" wide bullnose. This is often used for the sides framing the walls on a saltillo floor but it looks smooth on this Spanish styled home.

These clients used our saltillo pavers to build a courtyard but they didn't have an entrance that would do justice to the rustic looking courtyard. They ended up building a beautiful, winding series of steps that led up to the courtyard.
They used our pre-sealed bullnose tiles for the steps and pre-sealed 12x12 for the landing. They also used 4x4 Talavera for the face of the steps. We think this looks pretty damn good! ![]() As promised, this is the start of an outdoor living space we're working on. 2000 square feet of Mexican Saltillo clay pavers are going down to eventually transform this unused pad into a beautiful outdoor oasis. We'll keep you posted and we'll have a video ready shortly that will document the ongoing process! Stay tuned! ![]() If you haven't checked out our video on the home page, you may want to. It's a testimonial from a customer who has bought a lot of Mexican Saltillo tile from us. They used Mexican tile inside their home and then built a deck and sidewalk outside using authentic saltillo tile. Now the hard lesson that was learned. They didn't buy pre sealed saltillo, nor did they buy my seal. They used a seal from Home Depot which was much less expensive. Flash forward ten years and the money they have spent on lower quality mexican tile sealers dwarfs what they would have paid me to buy presealed tile. I don't like to toot my own horn so I'll let the video do the talking. Just remember there is some truth to the old saying "you get what you pay for." ![]() We're two weeks away from a big Mexican paver installation job. We're going to have a video before/after and another on how to properly seal Mexican Pavers. to the left are the various sizes of Mexican Pavers that we carry. Stunning in their rustic beauty and we can't wait to show them to you! We're pretty excited because this is the first step in creating a serious outdoor living space. Stay tuned! We're working on a video that will show you not only how to seal these beautiful tile but what seal (hint: we're the only place you can buy it!) to use to make it last for a very, very long time without resealing. We'll have a testimonial from a customer who learned a tough lesson about using cheap sealers! Stay tuned!
![]() I read this interesting article on construction in South Florida. This article underscores the boom I've noticed in the last three months period - it was the busiest I have been in several years and I'd almost forgotten what it was like to be busy. As in barely having time to think! Most of my sales were for 12" and 16" Saltillo tile. Lively decorative 4" Talavera tile were close behind. Let's hope it continues! |
